WHO ARE WE?
Focussed on Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG), Sustainable Finance, Responsible Lending, Responsible Finance for Financial Institutions and those seeking financing from International Financial Institutions (IFIs).
Enso is an environmental and social (E&S) consultancy based in Asia. It has established a practice that holds itself to high standards, maintains its integrity, is agile, advances the sustainable finance agenda and seeks to be an advisory firm that Clients will actively seek to work with.
Enso draws upon a network of partner consultants selected because of their subject matter expertise in topics, sectors or geographies. This allows flexibility in the approach whilst ensuring quality of work to deliver simple and complex projects to a high standard. This expertise includes Environmental & Social Management Systems (ESMS), environmental topics, biodiversity, social, land acquisition & resettlement and cultural heritage.
We routinely work to international benchmarks and standards including the Equator Principles, IFC Performance Standards, IFC EHS Guidelines, ADB Safeguards and host-country regulations in numerous jurisdictions in Asia and beyond.
The team has significant on the ground experience which translates into a valuable "bottom up" approach using this depth of knowledge. This is arguably more effective and credible than approaches which may not have the benefit of an understanding of the realities of practical E&S risk and management. Notably, Enso has people in the team who have, or currently are, working for Financial Institutions on their E&S management.
